Head Message From Our Presidents - legorretahernandez.com

«I am myself and my circumstance and if I do not save her, I do not save myself.»

We have been inspired by this Ortega y Gasset quote when responding to many of the problems that affect our society. While “I am I” can be understood as an individual and egocentric position, you break away from this idea when you make part of your own circumstances the conditions in which millions of Mexicans live in the different states in Mexico and which regretfully remains indifferent before the eyes of many.

The lack of empathy is one of the major ills affecting our society, as those who are more competitive are able to move forward and adapt to transformations demanded by technological changes, all others run the risk of averting development and becoming petrified as social fossils. We must develop projects that are inclusive of those who have not had the fortune to have access to education, to decent healthcare systems, to balanced meals, to sleep soundly and to live peacefully.

This population is part of our circumstance, once that all of us with the intention and energy to make changes adopt this as a priority, we will be bringing changes in substance and not in form. Once the cultural diversity that characterizes Mexico, and which it so much advertises, stops being a display of colors in festivities, fairs and museums and transforms into a strength for the development of technology and research, we will be promoting more changes and breaking new ground for all.

The day that we see and treat each other as equals, regardless of any condition, that day, there will be no more gaps dividing us, there will only be legends of the Mexico that we once were and which we were able to change delivering well-being to all.
