Fundación Legorreta Hernández A.C. was founded in 2009, committed to implementing projects that would create lasting and adequate solutions to the main obstacles that limit the development of families and communities in Mexico living in poverty and extreme poverty. Its Founders and Presidents, Andrea Hernández and Alejandro Legorreta, create this institution with the vision of effectively breaking the intergenerational cycle of poverty in which so many Mexicans find themselves.
Over the years, and building on experience, Fundación Legorreta Hernández has been able to consolidate a comprehensive model of projects to improve the intervention processes in communities in Yucatan, consequently generating better results for those who actively participate in such projects.
Such comprehensive collaboration model lies on five fundamental areas defined as Strategic Lines: Social Enterprise, Health, Education, Citizenship and Conscious Knowledge. The permanent evaluation of the actions that are undertaken under each Strategic Line, and as a whole, fosters ongoing improvement, which allows us to promote innovative and relevant projects and programs aimed at generating a positive impact on the persons and communities where it has a presence.
